Flower Planting and Beautification of Uptown
While head of EZRA's Social Action Committee, client and community needs were my focus and were addressed directly. In 2024 there was an increased desire for beautification in Uptown, Chicago.
As the iconic Chicago tulips blossomed throughout the city, Uptown residents found their streets lined with only barren flowerbeds and dirt-filled tree squares. After conversation and planning with the Uptown Chamber of Commerce, I was able to secure donations of gardening supplies and plants from local organizations. EZRA's Social Action committee was then able to plan a planting day, invite the community, and plant flowers around the neighborhood.
The plants brightened the area, served as a living advertisement for the donors, and brought in additional community projects for my Social Action committee.
